If you’ve ever wondered about the origin of popular internet memes, wanted to know what happened to the people in the memes after they went viral, or wondered where they are and what they’re doing nowadays, check out one of my favorite YouTubers, wavywebsurf.

There are 3 reasons why I like him: 1. He’s a great storyteller. 2. His videos are well-produced and easy to watch. 3. He always researches every meme thoroughly, and he has the ‘receipts’ to prove it. I especially enjoy his “Whatever Happened To…” videos, where he provides witty amd informative commentary on classic memes like Afro Ninja, Rappin’ for Jesus, Man’s Not Hot, Scumbag Steve, and Technoviking. Do yourself a favor and go check out wavywebsurf on YouTube. I frequently binge-watch his videos because they are that good. I’m a longtime fan of the man. – DJ

Nelson Apodaca’s Cran-Raspberry Dreams

Nelson Apodaca

Nathan Apodaca’s truck would NOT start, and he had to go to his job at the potato factory, so he pulled his longboard out of the trunk, grabbed his Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice, put on Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 song “Dreams”, and lip-synced to the song as he recorded himself skating to work. Nathan uploaded the video to TikTok on September 25, 2020, and he uploaded the video to YouTube on September 28, 2020. The video quickly went viral on both social media sites. Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac), Tom Hayes (CEO of Ocean Spray), and many other people have posted their own versions of the video online since then. Things have “blown up” for Nathan Apodaca since going viral. So far, he has received donations of over $10,000.00 from fans, and Ocean Spray surprised him by showing up at his RV in Idaho Falls, ID with a brand new truck full of Cran-Raspberry juice! – DJ
